So should I be good to go running diesel through fuel lines I may pick up at a random parts store or are there diesel specific materials? I realize this is probably a foolish question but I swear Ive heard things about this. Like Tygon hose but is it really needed? Modified by deathhare. at 7:47 PM 11-29-2009

With all the recent pictures of Corrados on fire, I decided to go ahead and replace my 18 year old fuel lines in the engine bay. If you have not done this yet, I highly suggest it, was very simple, took less than an hour. $52 shipped http://www.shop.thedubnutz.com...Id=46 The only issue I ran into was the black fuel hose connection (the other is blue) on the firewall side, it would not come ...

I have read all kinds of posts on fuel line routing and I'm more confused now than I was before. One thing that seemed consistent was that it needs a loose length of hose from the hard line coming out of the frame horn to allow for engine movement. I can handle that. The original line apparently went through a grommet/hole in the firewall somewhere on the drivers side of the car. No ...

so my truck sputters alot and iv been searching for a solution and found this "What i found is that these 720's use a return fuel line with no restriction.. so what you get is ZERO fuel pressure to the carb. I have no idea how these things run at all, unless you have a vane/rotor fuel pump that spits out 7psi or so. What I ended up doing is putting a Purolator ($20) adjustable fuel regulator on ...

I have my fuel tank out and want to replace all of my lines. I plan on using braided stainless lines and would like to know if anyone has used a compression fitting on the hard line threaded on the other end and threaded soft line fittings to mate the two instead of hose clamps. If so what fittings did you use that worked well. I tried the search but didn't come up with anything. Thanks

I have a project ahead which will require redoing most of the fuel lines on the boat. Does anyone know of a good source for information on products to use? Copper tubing with compression or flared fittings? Fuel manifolds? Valves including diversion valves? Is it better to use flexible hose?

I decided to replace my incorrect overly-large metal Fram fuel filter with a correct Fram metal fuel filter and was fortunate to avert a careless disaster and costly repair. With all the wiggling around I inadvertently bent the aluminum intake fuel line. It was pointing straight up when I noticed. It of course broke off when trying to bend it back. The break was where the last weld ...

I bought a 70 vert, I see a lot of people changing fuel lines through the tunnel, is there much to be concerned about if you don't? I have a cloth line running from the tunnel line to the engine, I know to change that to metal and make sure to get the grommet for the firewall, I'm planning to do that, when I do that, I'll probably put the filter between the tunnel exit and the metal fuel...

I'm a rookie doing a body off restoration on a '73 vert. I am replacing the fuel line in the tunnel because someone at some time snipped it and the other work I'm doing gives me easier access to replace it. While I can find plenty of helpful information on replacing it, there's one question I have been unable to find an answer to in word or picture. How much fuel line should be ...

I have a 04 G35 and the fuel line is making a vibrating noise under the passanger floorboard. I have followed the fuel line where it goes to the engine and noticed it is making the same vibration. Any idea on what it could be? the car runs fine its just an anoying noise and it usually only does it when the car is warm....

Fuel line connection at fuel filter This may seem too simple but, I have not had to replaced a fuel filter in quite a while. How do I disconnect the fuel line at the filter. I'm sure I've done it before and I know it snaps back on without much effort but, for some reason, can't seem to remember how to disconnect it. Thanks in advance,...

what if you drilled a hole in your crankcase, and connected your return fuel line to it? then it would squirt fuel into your case and help to lubricate the bearings in the case. is this a good idea?

1994 F250 turbodiesel have a ruptured fuel line (the y shaped line that goes to each head from fuel pump ) Can it be replaced without removing the turbo? My biggest fear is snaping off one of the rusty turbo bolts or studs.

I have a problem. I just noticed that i have a hole in the metal fuel line under my throttle body. Anybody have a quick fix for this? I am guessing it would be a good idea to just replace the whole line. Anyone know how much of a pita this is going to be?

I am placing my Red Cube Fuel Flow sensor between the mechanical fuel pump and the carb. Unfortunately, the geometry is going require an AN822 fitting at the inlet of the Red Cube. 1) Is a 90 degree fitting here OK? 2) Should I use aluminum or steel fittings in the fuel flow sensor?
