If I got rejected from a college and apply to the same college again as a transfer after the first year at another school, is it possible for me to get accepted? Because I'd have only spent a year at a college by that time ,they would still look at high school stats a lot. If I got rejected with those high school stats, how would I get in with the same stats but only college GPA added?.... And ...

... and now Clausen has completed 68% of his passes, with 28 TDs and 4 INTs in his 3rd year. Look, I hate to give any fire to the ND fans, but Clausen is the best QB to compare Barkley to, in terms of talent, hype, surrounding talent, expectations etc. Clausen\'s numbers: 56.3%, 5.12 YPA, 7 TDs, 6 INTs, 103.85 QB rating Barkley\'s numbers: 59%, 8.06 YPA, 12 TDs, 11 INTs, 133.04 QB rating (...

Hey, well first off I slacked during freshman year of high school; I had around a 3.0 GPA. I'm currently a sophomore and i have a 3.8 GPA now and am lined up for 5 AP classes junior year, I also have started up a charity foundation and have donated over $20,000 from my foundations revenue to the Bill & Melinda gates foundation. I was very naive my freshman year and didn't really study or anything...

Hi, I'm new to this website and I have really been stressing out about some really poor decisions I made my freshman year and how they will affect me in the future. I'm a junior now and I can definitely say that I am a completely different person than I was when I entered college. Everyone who has known me for a while always comments on how impressed they are with much I've changed. I ...

Let's say freshman year was AWFUL. Like, completely ridiculously terrible. I had D's and C's in freshman year. I'm a sophomore now. Is there any way I can get into MIT still straight out of high school? I'm doing WAY more than the average student now. I have a 4.0 and I do so many extracurricular, volunteer work, I've been published for a physics research article, etc. etc. Still, ...

Yeah, I understand. Some top schools recommend general chem and bio for Frosh (Vandy, Cornell, Emory), but others make Gen Chem a prereq for Bio, such as Stanford, Northwestern (?) and the UC campuses. Just a different philosophy, I guess.

It's possible, but the acceptance rate for transfers is usually lower. If you feel that your high school stats are the weakest part of your application, then you should apply for your junior year.

Where are you transferring from? How many credits have you earned? What is your overall college-level GPA? What is your GPA in courses necessary for a business major? Will you have completed an A.S. or A.A. or A.B.A. in business or a related subject area before you enroll at the new college/university? What kind of work experience do you have? There are many factors involved here as you ...

I had similar circumstances as yours. 2.8 Freshman GPA and a 4.6 Junior GPA. Stanford accepted me. It's understandable and won't plague you. MIT - Reach UC Berkeley - in

If you had any difficulty that led to your awful result in the freshman year, you should explain this. MIT is holistic; they will consider your context and if you're striking hard for the better.

Yes, the actual grades I would not worry about at all, considering it was just freshmen year. However, your GPA and class rank will likely be affected, and you'll just have to work to pull both of those back up by taking classes with more quality points (AP and honors.)
