Hello There, I am looking at purchasing a pair of IEM's to use when travelling, especially flying. I prefer to have headphones with a flat frequency response, so I hear as close to possible, the audio the way it was recorded. What IEM has the flattest frequency response curve? or failing that, which ones are fairly flat? Help me decide which ones to get. At the moment, ...

I have an old 2002 koss 5.1 receiver lying around my apartment not getting any use along with the sub that came with it. I currently use Swans D1080MKII's on my computer for listening to music, and watching the occasional show/ playing a few games when i get the time, but the koss receiver has one RCA output and I was wondering if i run the audio from my computer (which just uses the ALC889A ...

Hi, I've heard that everyone's ears have different sensitivities to different frequencies. Does anyone take audiogram-style tests into consideration when configuring their systems?

Hi, I'm looking for information about the frequency response and impedance graph of the Klipsch Quartet. Perhaps someone did measurement. And could publish them.. Thank you in advance Regrads, Arthur

Hi all I'm confused between frquency response and sampling rate. I have a Logitech H330 USB headset which allows me to record into my audio software at a maximum 32000hz. I spoke to Logitech customer support and asked if they had any that record at 44100hz sampling rate or higher. They were suggesting headset mics with 100-10000hz frequency response . Can the sampling rate I am ...

okay on my amplifier, Boss Audio gt1080...theres a frequency response knob 45hz to i think 90hz... can someone explain to me how to set this properly and how the whole hz thing works. Is it something like 45hz are the lower bass notes and 90 hz are the higher bass notes? and if i set the knob to 80hz what is it doing/filtering/or whatever

I posted previously about saving some T-100's with damaged woofers. I've decided to use these as a platform for expirementation and to learn more about speaker building, etc. Last night I pulled one of the woofers to get the opening measurement so I can start throwing other things in there. The woofers are in fact 16ohm and the FR stamped on them says 40hz - 3khz. I believe ...

"so as a rule of thumbs, the higher you can get the frequency response, the less distortion you usually get at lower frequencies. " Vince, I don't think you can make a case for this. In my experience, well designed audio circuits can have as wide or narrow as you may want and still be quite linear. Regards, Ty Ford Want better production audio?: Ty Ford's Audio ...

Hi Randy, Thank you for your post. This graphs gives me general overview, and looks promising. Now I would like to see individual response for each driver.;-))

Sounds like you are about to embark on a lengthy and likely fruitless exercise. Here is a good quote on acoustic simulation tools: Quote: The state of the art in ray tracing is that you can get accurate results if you have the experience to "tune" the model properly. If not, you are likely to place too much faith in the supplied material absorption library....
