My dura ace 7800 freewheel body went and died on me, at least one of the bearings are shot. Shimano consider this a non-serviceable part, and want me to buy a new fw body at ≈120$. But before I go and buy a freewheel body at the price of an entire new hub, does anybody know whether it is actually possible to exchange the cartridge bearings in the fw body? I'm pretty sure the outermost bearing is ...

Have you ever noticed the similarity in the guitar solos for Freewheel Burning by Judas Priest and Aces High by Iron Maiden? Any story behind that? Thanks

I have a High Flange Shimano hub with about 120mm spacing. Mine has a 5 speed freewheel and is marked Dura Ace. I purchased this item new in 1982. I would like to know about this hub. Is it as good as or better than a Campy High Flange Record hub? I'm building a new set of wheels for the bike. I am expecting a set of rebuildable Campy record ...

Once again, this is for my 12.2....sorry if you all are getting tired of my redundant questions. But I was indeed wondering if I should rebuild my inners of my freewheel? It's an old style SunTour Perfect freewheel. I have never gotten into the guts of one and heard that it's a lot of work and keeping track of the various bearings a pawls?...

Toasted the freewheel on my utility bike, replaced it with a used wheel that has cassette/freehub, but an over-sized rim. Now I'm about to re-spoke the "new" wheel using the old rim. But I'm seeing this: http://tinyurl.com/ydv4opq in the old spokes. Brass nipples, alu rim. I've seen similar activity on a Hobie 14 I used to sail where the stainless steel shroud adjusters were pop-...

These are handbuilt wheels and are brand spankin' new. White Origin hubs and White DP Weinnman rims with machined sidewalls. The rear hub is a flip flop hub, so you can ride fixed gear, or singlespeed freewheel. Ready to ride and would make a great christmas gift. Asking $155. Check out the pics. I also have a set of blue wheels available. Everything is exactly the same as these, just blue in ...

Yup, its true, when ever I get off the gas it stops running, put it in freewheel, same thing. plus it sounds like it is running on 3 cylinders! I don't think my car likes cold! could be hibernation time for the bucket of bolts! One good thing i guess if it wont run in the winter, at least it will never rust!

Hallo Framers, I have tried both FreeWheel and KatMouse for a few days. * Both work with Windows 7 (beta version which I happen to have at home) and XP; I have no access to Vista but I expect it is also OK. * KatMouse interferes with Firefox's "middle-click to open link in a new tab". However this can easily be disabled (Settings>WheelButton>NoneOfTheButtons) * Some graphic programs ...

That is one nice way to do it if you have the ability, I/O, and inclination to build it, I agree. I get by wth a pendant with a proportional joystick that coves the directional moves and the speed, depending on how far you push it over, OR My wireless keyboard that has a trackball at the right thumb position and mouse buttons at the left thumb position. Mostly I use this because I'm ...
