I have been eating a lot of eggs lately and for some reason find it hard to decide which eggs to buy each time i do. Lately i have been buying one type on time and the other type the next time. But i have noticed the quality of the cheaper cage eggs is terrible, as in there is crud inside the egg or when i crack it the shell is hard to break and then when it does it shatters and falls in ...

Please help me get some of these eggs off of our hands! Our chickens are given no hormones or antibiotics and eat feed containing no animal products. We have brown eggs, green eggs and even some extra large duck eggs. We live very near I-75 and Exit 277 (Highway 92) in Acworth. I can sell a dozen for $3 or 18 for $4. 678-574-5366 Vicki Read more...

Hi, I've just applied to rescue some ex-battery hens and I'm wondering about whether to let them have free range of the garden during the day? Our fences are only about 4 and a half foot or so, are they likely to be able to fly over? Scarey dog on one side and possible access to a busy road on the other side! Is it necessary to build really high fences? We've got a secure run and coop for...

Hows your boobie biter doing? Still biting? Since yesterday, my baby has been biting when she's done and she pulls too - she must be mad at me!! But she doesn't have teeth. I can only imagine the pain with teeth...

Im going to finally add these into my diet after reading about the benefits on here. My question is, are all the benefits of free range/omega in the yolk? So if I eat 6 eggs but only 1 contains the yolk (due to my diet and the macros), wold it be a waste of money to eat 6 free range/omega 3? Would I be better off eating the 5 whites from a regular egg, then just using a free range ...

Just got a new stove/range for Christmas so offering our old one for free. The oven part works great, the range works well but could use a new burner or 2. Must pick up from my garage in Chestertown.

Thanks Henhugger, I think that I'll need to make the fence higher on the dog side but ok on the other side. I've never seen a fox but there was definately evidence of digging when we had the last lot. We're so urban here that I can't imagine seeing a fox but my neighbours have seen them. Lots of bricks and rubble around the coop seemed to stop the mysterious digging that appeared overnight!...

as the cocktail of hormones given to conventional meat and milk and egg producing animals all do the same thing. They switch the animals system into "get fat as fast as you can with the lowest input" mode. I think that these same hormones persist and effect us in the same way. Plus the food tastes better and it costs more, so unless you have lots of money, you have to buy less of it. Can you ...
