GREP query strings and GREP styles are tremendous timesavers in InDesign. I'd really like to see these time-saving production features added to the next version of FrameMaker. I'd even be happy with saved Find & Save queries.

When I try to import a *.cdr (Corel Draw) file into FM 9.0, it errors with: The filter encountered an error and could not complete the translation. Is there are certain version of cdr file that is compatible for FM 9.0 or is it not an accepted graphic format? I need to get this into a document as soon as possible. Can someone explain the difference between the two commands above when using Special>Hypertext... in FrameMaker 8? When following the instructions in a Version 7 User Guide, it shows the example using Message Client. However, when I produce the final PDF, the links do not work. Dear FrameMaker users, I noticed that when a table reaches the bottom of a page, the footnotes flow to the next page. It would be nice if a number of orphan rows would flow to next page together with the footnote, but that doesn't happen... Is there some workaround for this problem? I need to add an automated character in InDesign CS4, similar to an autonumber, but it is a special character rather than a number. This special character needs to be on the right of the paragraph instead of at the beginning of the paragraph. This is something that FrameMaker can do, but is this possible in InDesign?
