My niece & nephew are in foster care because their parents can't care for them right now and nobody else in the family can either. They are 12 and 13 years old. I just talked to their social ...

Has anyone done a mediated adoption of the foster child? SW has stated she is going to start talking to bios about this. What happens if you go into mediation with bios but don't come to an agreement? Does it just go to TPR? Does the state frown on you not agreeing with the bios?

We have no contact with bioparents of our daughter and the biomom is related to my hubby. She also did not respect us nor follow our boundaries or rules so we ended up ceasing contact. We started out very small and she couldn't even do that. She tried to manipulate the contact and only do it when it was good for her sake and not our daughters. Even though we had clear cut boundaries she still ...

Orleander The outrage over the allegations intensified after police said the girl's parents criticized her after the attack and blamed her for bringing shame on the family. "The father told the case worker and an officer in her presence that he didn't want her back. He said 'Take her, I don't want her,'" ...

In our state they always try to go to mediation to get the bios' to sign away their rights. It is often a last ditch effort to keep from going to trial. I have seen it work on some kiddo's but not for others. Some times parents will agree on termination of some of the kids but not all of the kids... I hope this helps!

We have eight 2 bio and six adopted. Five have come to us through fostering. I am sure there will be more. This is our calling in life and we love it! After the adoption of our son is finalized the only child we have in foster care is the 13 year old sister of two of our adopted daughters. She has been with us for almost three months and is doing well.

Also look at a relationship with NY Cares. Its an org about promoting volunteer opportunities, they may have a line on toy drive/companies that would adopt your agency.
