This summer we went to the Birds of Prey Centre in Coaldale, Alberta. There they take in hurt and ailing birds, nurse them back to health and return them to the wild. Some cannot be safely released, become permanent residents, and are treated well. Here's one fella GW will recognize: (nothing wrong with his eye, I think it's just a 'what are you lookin' at, Mammal!' kinda look)...
