I am looking for the hood ornament that graces the hood of a 1950 Ford Custom Tudor with the V8 8BA Flathead that looks like a rocket with a sight, sort of like the sight on a rifle. Its a cool little piece, and I must have it. PM me if you have one. Need it.

I think the '57 solenoid will work on the early trans. Only way to know for sure is to try it. Take the two bolts out and turn the solenoid a half turn to get it out. The ball on the end has flat spots on it, it keys in to the mechanism inside the OD.

LSUFAN, I like what you've got done on the restoration so far. What was the terrible accident in March that led to this? Where did you have to cut and trim the frame to fit it under the '50 body? I viewed your photobucket and like what you've got going on the ZZ Top coupe. Cant wait to see more.
