Heard on Radio Merseyside on Saturday last. There's to be a flypast at 14:00 on Friday 23rd Oct, as part of HMS Illustrious's visit. Consisting of 40 planes, flying down the river, from the South to the North. Unfortunately, I'll be elsewhere. Ah well. Enjoy if you're around.

He has asked me to make this post on his behalf. He has not created a list, but will search through against specific requests to make pre-2004 copies available to forumites here (so as not to compete ...

But what stands out is the extent of the Flypast, which was arranged as a tribute to this fine gentle aviator, and which took place over Johns home at Bossington, where the Fairey family ...

Am not sure it is either fair or appropriate to "knock" other aviation magazines, or FlyPast/other Key titles publicly in this way - whatever the perceived or real injustice may be. After all, they can hardly respond, can they? I enjoy FlyPast and equally enjoy Aeroplane. Personally, if I had to cut out one subscription it would be the former.....and that isn't just because Aeroplane actually...

He was truly gutted when they refused him a medal. but then issuing him a plastacine medal fitted in nicely with the spirit of what he was doing. we were in liverpool with a group of scouts waiting for the boat home when he ...
