Well, I went to the dr. tonight. She confirmed a hip flexor strain. Not too happy about it, but what do you do...nothing. She wants NO running for 10-14 days and I have a follow up in 2 weeks with her. GRRRRR! So, there is not really any physical activity (I don't have access to a pool or the ability to ride a bike) that I can do in those 2 weeks. She gave me a script for 600 mg ...

I strained my hip flexor today in gym. In general, about how long does this take to heal? Because it's really painful and I'm on crutches and it kind of sucks. =\

Hi! I was doing an explosive dance move a few hours ago and hurt my hip flexor. I didn't feel anything snap but it was instant I could hardly walk right after. Now it is incredibly painful, I can't lie down, my lower back on the side of the hip flexor pain is probably even more sore than my hip flexor and I am wondering if I have seriously injured myself or should it recover itself? What ...

I have some discomfort in my right hip area. I asked my chiropractor what I should do, I thought it was a groin issue. He looked at it and said it was a hip flexor. He showed me a stretch, which I do daily. Is there anything else anyone can suggest? I have read online that you should keep running, but not hard. I am hoping this will heal/go away soon, as I was just starting to train for a...

who here has had hip flexor problems? Aside from ice and rest is there anything I should do to expedite the recovery process. how it happened; I injured my hip flexor last night and it's one of the strangest injuries i've had. Drilled technique for an hour, the rolled very light for about 30 mins just working on technique. No pain while rolling or anything like that. When I got int he ...

Alright, so i've been a lurker on this site for over a month now. Basically my story is as follows: I am 28 years old and I had knee surgery 3 years ago. I suffered from right leg atrophy is my quads, glutes, hip flexor, calf's, hamstring and... well basically all my leg muscles. After three years of rehab I am doing much better however, I am still not 100%. In particular my calf muscles are...

John Lackey is the No. 1 free-agent starting pitcher. Those who evaluate baseball players, those who acquire baseball players, those who negotiate for baseball players and those who write about baseball players don't always agree. But I think there is consensus about this. I'm wondering about a different question. 1. Andy Pettitte: We're not sure yet whether Pettitte is going to pitch in ...

One of these struggling teams -- both are 5-4 after torrid starts -- is going to get off the mat and snap out of its losing ways. The Giants were 5-0 and believed to be among the NFL's best before they stopped playing defense and taking care of the ball during a four-game losing streak. The Falcons were 3-1 and riding high until they stopped pressuring the quarterback and Matt Ryan started firing...

I had a super fucked up hip flexor once upon a time. Sounds kind of like that. Of course I'm not a doctor and you might want to get a second opinion on my diagnosis, but I'm thinking yeah, Mats is on to something. Those fucking things can go on ya without even having a big "OW MY HIP FLEXOR" moment in your memory.
