QUOTE It is common currency that flea bites are annoying for cats, dogs and their owners, especially in the summer months. And these bites can easily cause flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) and transmit diseases or tapeworms. A 2009 study published in Parasitology Research1 proves that fleas can also act as vectors for feline calicivirus (FCV) transmission, commonly known as ‘cat flu’. In...

My indoor cat has fleas. She has had them since the Summer. We have tried Advantage and Frontline, I have given her flea baths, flea comb, etc... and nothing seems to work. I figured they'd go away by now as it's been getting cold up here (Knoxville), but they're eating her alive. What can I do????

Two fleas meet at a fanny, one is a burglar and one is a druggy, how do you tell them apart? . . . The burglar is hiding in the bush, the druggy is sniffing the crack!

Treatment For Fleas and Mange Here is a great treament for mange. Take common Hi Yield dusting sulphur that can be purchased at any feed store, a bottle of Kopertox (Copper Naphthenate) and water. Mix one part Kopertox with three parts sulphur and two parts water. Mix or shake well. This combination will produce a greenish/yellowish paste that can be applied on mange areas with a sponge ...

So I found a flea (and a lump of eggs) on Jager this morning. I have heard that Dawn dish soap will kill them. Any truth to this? _________________ Jager at four weeks

Four weeks ago, my cat [20-year-old persian] was not feeling too great, and the weather was warm, so I decided to bathe him in the kitchen sink. Low and behold, dozens of the critters abandoned ship. The cat was weak as a new-born lamb. He spent a week at the vet, and I spent a grand. Since then he has been put on Frontline, but my house is loaded with fleas. Pulled two carpets, am presently ...

So I think I've really messed up. To quickly explain my situation, my dog was due for his Frontline on Nov 8. I never gave it to him because I read an article talking about it being poision and that you don't need to apply it during cold months. So I didn't apply it, and yesterday I noticed that my dog had scabs under his coat. I felt around and probably came across atleast 10 of these scabs/...

I've noticed my girl nipping at her behind (Posted previously) and there are no fleas to be seen as suggested by a response. I apply the flea control products all the way down her back at my vet's recommendation. I think I've figured out that it is a reaction to the K9 Advantix topical we have been using. She didn't seem to do this with Frontline. Just curious - anyone else ...

My little girl woke up early this morning and threw up her food, and my husband discovered her next to it weak with whitish gums. She's had fleas recently, and had just went to the vet yesterday morning to get her meds for them, and I read online that they can drain the blood fast in a small dog, and cause this. we quickly gave her a bath with flea shampoo. She seemed to come around, and I put ...

As some of you may recall, a few months ago I resuced two angora rabbits. they were badly matted, thin, and even had fleas. My origanal plan was to shave them, let their fur grow bad, treat the fleas, put weight on them, spay/nueter them, and then adopt them out. Well, I got to attached to Charmin and decided to keep him. Marsha is going to her new home monday. Well, since I decided there ...
