I upgraded to Windows 7 and my CPU won't read Flash Drives and External Hard Drives. After 2-3 minutes the CPU detects the Flash and External but it won't let me access them. They worked before the upgrade. I had Vista Home Premium 64-bit and upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Printer and other things work through USB port. 2 people need an answer I do too

one of them worked well yesterday morning...now, when I insert it tells me I need to reformat the drive? If I do that, will I lose all my files and pics on it? Any ideas?

Has anyone started or thinking about giving their clients their photos on a flash drive and include a cd/dvd. Flash drives are becoming cheaper everyday. 4gb drives are $10 US now. If the PC isn't properly recognizing any USB device, it sounds like a hardware issue on the PC. You can try updating/reinstalling the motherboard/USB drivers.
