I run Windows 7, clean install with Flash Professional CS4 (also CS3). But both are working so extremely slow it's just not usable. the creator of the fla that you tried to open had his/her flash classes placed in a custom location (a Classes subdirectory of the fla's directory) and you were directing flash to find your classes there. however, that's not the default location. you either would have to create that directory and move your classes or use the default location....

Here's what I think your problem is. Your stage needs to be resized to the size of the image. I am just guessing that you are publishing the swf from this file and the code that places it into an html page is telling it to be very small to fit in that small space, but the swf file includes all of that white background you see... so all you see is a spec due to having shrunk the swf file so ...
