Hello, This is my first post. I have a 5 month old female Cockapoo. I see no signs yet but is she around the age I might see her first heat? Is it right that some dogs can be in heat without any visible signs? I say there are no signs but I have noticed the last two days that once she's finished peeing she swings around and sniffs at it quite intently. I want to get her fixed but scared to ...

I have a 8 month old toy poodle who came into her first heat 18 days ago. First thing is that she never had any discharge bloody or otherwise. She has just had swelling. Is that normal or should I be concerned? How long will it take for the swelling to subside? Should it be gone by day 21or does it sometimes take a little longer?

I posted earlier about Dandi growling at a little dog that bit her nose. Today she growled at the neighbours dog - a really old little pomeranian - who was barking at her. Could this be a fear response because of the dog that bit her nose? Or could it be related to the fact that she's in heat? Also, is it safe to walk her when she's in heat? She's always leashed and where we walk is supposed ...

Michael Beasley's first official practice with the Miami Heat ended quickly. Beasley was struck in the chest by an inadvertent elbow during a defensive drill about 45 minutes into Miami's first summer-league workout session Wednesday, and the No. 2 overall pick in last week's NBA draft was taken to a doctor for observation. More...

Well not all dogs have discharge.. ITs better for you if they don't, that don't mean like u said they can't swell.. is she registered? If she is and u are planning on breeding her, with AKC, they have to be a 1 year old to be able to breed cause they aren't fullly devloped at 8 months old! GOOD LUCK

Females can become very tempermental during their heat. Just like a girl or woman can suffer PMS and want to rip peoples' faces off. I have walked Firefly during her heats, and I always carry a can full of pennies and shake them when a male feels brave enough to make a move on my dog. Sends em' runnin'! Fly is okay with the sound herself. Sometimes cherry bombs, little bags of rocks ...

I began peri when I was 40 so I have been going through this for 3 years now--how fun--lol!! I thought I was too young to begin peri so when I went to the doctor--3 years ago-to find out why I missed 3 months, I was convinced I had a terrible disease. Instead after getting a ...

Ok, in Toronto right now we have a smog advisory and an extreme heat alert. It is 29 feels like 35. Very humid. I go to run an errand and park next to a car with two kids (6 months and 2 years old would be my guess) in the back seat with the windows closed. I peek around, don't see anyone and am just about to call the police cause frankly I don't want to read these two children died in their ...

What do yall think? I know I have major problems with poa annua, that stuff is a company killer. It is easy to pull but impossible to keep out of the lawn and a lot of times that is all a lawn is the first few months of the year before the heat hits. Then you have other weeds such as crabgrass, pigweed, all the other weeds that are a real pain in the a$$. Tree says handpull, with the way ...
