I was caught shoplifting yesterday in a Michigan K-Mart. I don't know what to do. I'm 19 and this was my first offense, I only stole about $35 worth of merchandise and I can't afford an attorney or even to pay fines and court costs. I know what I did was wrong and I can't even begin to describe how sorry and remorseful I am. I'm a good student and I was planning on applying to transfer from my ...

What are the chances that I will get a reduction based on this, that is, if it is truly an improper police stop. He never "stopped me!" If he never stopped you, why are...

My question involves criminal law for the state of: OHIO Recently charged with 1st OVI/DUI offense. The officer also charged me for "failing to stay in marked lanes". However, the officer NEVER pulled me over. He must have seen me on when I turned onto a local road. I was on a 35 mph road for 1/2 mile, and had to make a sharp right turn into my driveway, which is all gravel and uneven. I ...

I was cooperative with police and admitted to stealing at another store in the area, they didn't charge me with anything but gave me a criminal trespass notice. I went into the store with the intention to steal and I told them that...it was obvious. The ...

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida Ok, I've already looked up alot of what I could possibly serve. I'm a full-time student, this is my first offense, the value of the items was under $100. I know the law and what I'm looking at but I'm wondering what, in the experience of anybody who answers this, normally happens. Do people in my situation normally ...
