My new Acer One, running Linux Lite, loads Firefox 2 as though it's the first time, every time. I get the Welcome page. I can't change my home page and it either won't store bookmarks, or if it does, I lose them when I close the browser because when it next loads, it thinks it's the first time! I've downloaded Firefox 3 in an attempt to solve the problem, but can't find the download on the Acer....

any help greatly appreciated. i made a webpage in illustrator cs, using the slice tool to cut up the page. then save for web, and illustrator saved a html file with all the images in a folder. dropped the html into dreamweaver and everything is going smoothly and fine. I uploaded the file to my hosting site, and the web page looks good in these browsers, safari, explorer, and opera. now ...

I cannot get the command tags -p or -profilemanager to work. When I type em nothing happens. I even moved my profile out of it's folder onto my desktop so Firefox would think it's a new installation. Needless to say, Firefox now refuses to load. However, if I put the profile back in it's place, everything is fine. I did recently install FF3 on top of FF2 and then ...

Hi everyone, I uploaded my first website using EW2--it's a slight modification of the Organization 1 template. I've been learning CSS in addition to learning EW, though I am still woefully noobified relative to many ... So in Firefox 2.0.0.17 the site looks pretty much the way I expected, but in IE7 the layout is, well, see for yourself ... http://www.crescentspring.com/ Thanks in advance ...

Well 5 days later, Mozilla is now allowing this update for 98. I therefore recant my earlier jeers and say hooray. Hopefully the support will continue.

I upgraded to firefox 3 on my main computer but have firefox 2 on a secondary computer. On firefox 2 I was able to stay logged into RFD all the time and was able to see the posts since my last visit to the site each time I entered the forum on the site. It still works the same on firefox 2. However, firefox 3 works fine for a couple of days but then logs me out and when I log back in I have ...

Resize your browser window in both IE and in FF, expanding it and contracting it, and you'll see what I mean. You have a very liquid design, and it will look quite different depending on the browser window size. You also had, at one time, a fixed position item on the Community page that overlapped items that were moving as the page was resized. What else do you see that is different?

Thanks for your comment, richie. What problems, if any have you have after trying this software that allows Windows 98 Second Edition to have compatibility with Windows XP programs. Sounds strange but I suspect it is something very basic. I don't have an acer so won't try to offer any specific help but would strongly recomend you post in the acer one thread here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...882268& page=17 Linux is good but it is different and you can spend a lot of time trying to solve a problem that isreally simple when you know how. Linux distros ...
