Fire wire - Topic profile

Hi, I just purchased a HP dv4T...Its a great computer overall except for the lack of a fire wire port. I need a 4 pin I believe. Can someone help me choose the right thing to do this? I think there is somthing out there that will plug right into the express card slot, but I am not positive. Thanks Tucker

i recently bought a fire wire cable at radio shack, and when i plugged it in my computer , nothing happened. It didn't even read it. Do i need a software or something to read it? I tried windows movie maker but it doesn't read it neither.

Is there some kind of adaptor. I do not want to fit a firewire port.

I have my mic going into my firewire 410 module..and then firewire cord from that to my mac...the signal is going thru i just aint getting no vocals..any suggestions?!!?!...thanks yall..god bless
