This ruger will shoot a .350 inch group at fifty yards on a caldwell lead sled with standard velocity remington ammo. It has a laminate stock and a heavy spiral bull barrel. The Tasco 3x9 Scope has worked very well on it. I have worked the trigger over and it is very clean and breaks about 3.5 pounds. No perceptible creep at all, overtravel is almost none. It has two ten round magazines and...

The 158 grain bullet at 2150 FPS (oooh, hot, hot! ) won't be dropping the six inches I'd expect at a hundred yards. I don't have my ballistic calculator with me (at work) but if you're zeroed two inches high at fifty, you'd probably get close to four inches drop at 100, maybe less, so you'd be a couple inches low. I'll have to fire up a ballistics program later to get more precise. 2150 ...

August 6, 2008 - 06:30 [EST] 24 miles northeast of Greensboro, North Carolina Mohsen Makhmalbaf was a figure of high importance in the Empire, despite not even being a Layartebian. He was the Eurasian ambassador to the Empire and he had finally begun his yearly vacation. An avid hunter, Mohsen Makhmalbaf had chosen, instead of taking only a family vacation, to take a short break in ...

> We used to have an axe shoot, split the ball on an axe and break a clay pigeon on both sides of the ax. Just make sure everybody loads a ball, and not buckshot. We also used to start with a loaded rifle, shot, load, shot, load, shot, in one minute, a timed event shooting for score at fifty yards. It was always a fun event. Always had hawk and knife throws, flint and ...

So anything on that wall--as far as our intrepid Racers knew--could have been a local landmark. And I'm pretty sure the list was way down towards the far end. You might recognize it as a list of places once you got that far, but if you're still staring in bafflement at the first fifty yards' worth.... Have they instituted Fern control? What was to keep them from going to a local and...

Many anti point shooters talk about Cirillo's first gunfight with the Stakeout Squad, which involved some incredible rapid fire aimed shooting skills. Naturally they use this to knock point shooting. So I found this paragraph from the newly published book, JIM CIRILLO'S Tales Of The Stakeout Squad most interesting... .."and when (Jeff) Cooper heard that I was in the Stakeout Squad, that...

I remember noticing this last year but was reminded again yesterday of one of the great advantages of the BUL. I was hunting Valley Quail yesterday up here in Idaho. A small covey flushed. I killed one bird, missed another, and killed the third one I fired at. The recovered birds were less than 25 yards away. That doesn't make me a great shot but it reminds me that I've never had a gun ...
