The most glaring I can think of is in "Star Wars" (which admittedly I don't call Science Fiction but a Space Opera but still it has all the trappings of the genre) from the sounds in space to the physics of movement for the ships but my favorite is Harrison Ford as Han Solo claiming that the Millenium Falcon made the Kessel Run in 12 Parsecs (a parsec is a measurement of distance NOT time)....

Of course she couldn't speak Russian perfectly, but her accent wasn't too bad. And her character was Ukrainian anyway.

hehehe, I liked it too. But I think, since some of these people are referencing BG, they may think of Neuromancer the same way.
