There is no ferry to Crete from Turkey. You will first need to go to Rhodes and then it takes about 9-12 hours to reach Crete from there, depending on the date of travel. Something to consider.... Here is a good link for ferries from the various Turkish ports to their corresponding Greek Islands: http://www.feribot.net/feribot/?lang=en It may be that schedules for next October/November...

Here's a handy link to the Turkey> Greece ferries but don't expect to see what you need for next June, as schedules will undoubtedly change between now and then. By June there should be 2 ferries each day each way between Kusadasi and Samos, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. http://www.feribot.net/feribot/?lang=en As has been stated, patience is needed ...

Hello Mary, you have choices to make, some of which depend on how much time you have for travel between countries. You can fly or take a bus from Istanbul to Izmir and a bus from Izmir to Kusadasi where you would take a ferry across to the Greek island of Samos. From Samos you can take the Hellenic Seaways ferry to Paros or Naxos, or to Mykonos depending on which route HS uses in 2010. Expect ...

During the 2008 season and also again this last season the Samos>Piraeus ferry (Hellenic Seaways) stopped at Naxos and Paros. It's too early to know what route it will take next season. Some years it stops at Mykonos instead. When it's decided, probably in April, you will be able to see the timetable here: http://www.ferries.gr/hfd . And FYI-It's usually no problem in May getting from ...

Quovadis is right. Easyjet charges about 40 euro for a flight MXP-ATH with one piece of checked in luggage. However, you can't reach Malpensa the same morning, except you live in the Canton of Ticino. So, the train ticket up to Gallarate and a hotel night (the hotel Vecchia roataia, close to the railway station is the cheapest one there) may cost 3times more than the flight. As a alternative,...

I've just had a look at the Aegean Airlines website and they have a flight from Heraklion to Rhodes for only 2 euros + tax - total fare 43.01 euros! I'd take that, if I were you. And then ferry to Marmaris (I don't know how regular they are in November - looks like only twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to Feribot ) and bus onwards to Cappadocia.

Give your car back in South Cyprus and do as tyrker suggests. You can fly from Ercan to Adana or Antalya. Or go by bus from North Nicosia to Kyrenia/Girne and take the ferry to Tasucu. Ferries from Turkey to Greek Islands: Kas - Kastellorizo (and from there with a Greek boat to Rhodos) Marmaris - Rhodos Bodrum - Kos Kusadasi - Samos Cesme - Chios http://www.fergun.net/uk/index.htm ...

Kusadasi is _NOT_ close to Fethiye, or Rhodes, at least not anywhere close enough to be convenient. From Kusadasi there is a ferry to Samos, and from Samos there is a ferry to either Paros or Naxos and from either of these your friend can catch a ferry to Santorini. Depending on current schedules it might mean spending a night on Paros or Naxos to catch the next ferry to Santorini. http://...
