I need to get my pony trimmed, her farrier broke her left hand. I worked very briefly for a farm that used Matt Cressman in the Bancroft/Quinte areas. Has anyone used him? My girl has to be trimmed outdoors in her paddock due to not having a barn and the icey conditions OUTSIDE her paddock. Our current farrier (Becky Begley) has been trimming her in her paddock since last spring and we haven't ...

My regular farrier for my pony has broken her hand (Becky Begley) and I really need to get my pasture puff pony mare trimmed. She was left late due to her field being mud and now the ground has frozen she needs to be trimmed. The farrier would have to be willing to work in her paddock as we don't have anywhere to put here that isn't ice. I'm looking for someone in the Stirling/Springbrook/...

Not sure, if this is the best place to post this topic, but here it goes. I have a 2 year old with long feet and as far as I know she's never had them done? When is the typical age to introduce a horse to a farrier? Also her hooves are starting to crack, should I be putting on hoof oil if she lives outside? Bottom line she needs to see a farrier but she doesn't hold her feet for long. Any tips ...

Currently sitting with a beer trying to calm my nerves, just had a text from my farrier saying he'll be tomorrow morning to trim my boys feet. It's a bit of a long story but had Flipo since august and in true heavy horse style he was reluctant to lift his feet when I first got him. Knew it was going to be a long road but I am now happy that he will let me pick out all four, tap them with a ...

... and your horse is going beautifully after the second chiro treatment and the farrier has finally corrected the hoof angles to perfection, and your horse loves the bit, his teeth were done, vet loves his soundness and everything is going beautifully ... but what about you? Are you sound? We tend to spend so much money on our horses, fixing and treating and training them, and often we ...

I don't know all the details right now, it was on the news last night but I missed it. Apparently a farrier in my area took off and left at least a dozen horses on his rental property. There are lots of dead horses and the horses that were rescued scored between a 1 and a 2 on the body scale. I am looking for the article or news clip and will post it when I find it.

My farrier said he is "tickled" with Buttercup's progress. I'm pretty happy as well. Her heel is still a bit distorted from the casting (it was applied very tightly to keep her separation together, but perhaps too tightly according to a farrier forum ... but it was my farrier's first time with the material and mistakes happen). Left- ^goodbye, crack! All we have left is superficial!!! ...

Have had Arns feet shod in front only and just trimmed behind now twice. Farrier seems a nice chap, recommended by another livery (although think he only does trims for her) and being a fairly ignorant hoof person I thought all was well. However, have now had comments from a knowledgable person (proffessional in another field) that Arns feet aren't properly balanced and that his shoes aren't...
