This is our big trip with our two boys ages 8&10 this season. I LOVE the cowboy cabins - but at $395/night I'm looking for cheaper options. We do want true ski in/ski out and don't want to be too isolated. I prefer a condo/cabin over a hotel...I want to prepare our own meals. We require a two bedroom or in the very least a one bedroom with pullout. This is our first time traveling to ...

Hello, I'm planning a trip to the San Diego area for next month. We are a 2 families of 5. Each family has 2 adults and 3 kids(Ages 10, 6 & 7). We were thinking of staying at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. It seems to be a nice hotel but there were some very mixed reviews on this site. The other properties that we are considering are the Hyatt La Jolla & Hotel Del Coronado ...

Our family is thinking of going to Riviera Maya in August. There are 3 famililes, and we'll need to book 4 rooms. As of now we are looking at booking through Expedia and it looks like the Gran Bahia Principe Coba has a good deal and has gotten great reviews. My concern is how big it is... does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rooms close to each other? I'd like to go through ...

I have already gotten a ton of information from the forums here--thanks so much to all of you willing to share your expertise! We are a well-traveled family of four (two daughters, ages 14 and 11) and we will be spending 14 full days in Israel in early March 2009. My husband and I each spent time in Israel 25+ years ago, but it will be our first time traveling there as a ...

We're going on a family trip to Tuscany at the end of May - my parents, sisters, husband and sister's fiance. I've read several of the Tuscany forums and it sounds like people prefer southern Tuscany. Right now we're thinking of spending a week at a villa near Greve (4 km from Greve, 7 km from Panzano). Is this the right choice? Should we be staying further down toward Montepulciano? ...

Hi We're really keen to visit BC in 2010 for 2 weeks, specifically Vancouver and environs. As a family (with two girls aged 7 and 5) we prefer self catering, so we can BBQ or cook or go out - just more independence. Also like to have access to a pool and be fairly near a nice beach. Never ventured to North American continent and we normally go to Med in august so we do ...

We are planning a trip for the week after Christmas 2010 through New Year's (depart Dec. 25 or 26, through Jan. 1 or 2) for an extended family trip. Two adult couples, four children ages 13-19. We are interested in planning an extended family trip (two couples, four well-behaved kids ages 13-19) for next Christmas to New Year's (five to seven nights). We like PR because there are direct flights to San Juan from DC and we wouldn't waste a lot of time in travel and transfers. We're looking for ocean/beach, local culture, great food, and to speak a little Spanish. We do plan to...
