Just looking on Pas8 and noticed that Philippine channels, ANC, PPV, Cinema1, KC and TFC are running FTA at the moment, 29-11-09. 12575-H-13845 2/3 Couldn't find this posted previous, but if it has been, then discard it as DuckPoop.

I just purchased a FTA receiver today and noticed I couldn't receive RTE1/RTE2/TV3/TG4/3e on it. After some searching on the net I found a number of posts saying these channels weren't available on FTA. The last of these was posted 6 months ago so I am hoping there has been some progress since then. Does anyone know if there is any way of getting them via satellite now? Fingers crossed

Hi guys, I've got a Fortec Star FTA 5000 v2 box which I had installed a few years ago, not being too tech minded myself! Over these few years I've lost a lot of channels, is there a way I can do a search for new/replacement channels? And if so, will it just over-write everything I've already got? I know that FTA pertains to unencrypted satellite channels, but what about the "in the clear" cable channels??? I have cable for my internet service. When the installer put the cable to my house he told me that I could hook the coax to my TV and receive about 20 channels! So far for True FTA I have used AC-3 Audio detection using both the optical connector and the coax type of connector I have used the 5 to 8 Mega Hertz sub carrier detection method (used in old C band sets) I have also used the FM receiver connected to the S/PDIF output trick and got audio after some tuning in the FM band. hi i recently put up a fta dish made by ross. i am having trouble locking on to astra 2 satellite. i haven't enough patience if any one in the limerick (clonmacken)area wants to make a quick few pound drop me a pm. dish is up, wires ran all that needs to be done is adjust the dish. thanks paul

I Did a Dish install today and the customer asked if I wanted these two receivers as he no longer has any use for them. I took them home and discovered (figured as much) that they have unknown non factory software on them. Hi all, live in France and want UK FTA channels, bought this decoder and was told by shop assistant that I could receive the FTA UK channels, however we have just had in our Electricien to realign our satellite dish and he set it to 28.2E Astra 2, but all channels we get (and they are lots) are german and others, but NO UK FTA channels, help needed pls, thank you!!!
