after going through a semiauto 'uncertainty & dry phase' I decided to bring a semiauto back into the fold; I grabbed a FN Herstal FNP-9 with blackened slide and manual safety; comes with 3 16-round factory mags and usual assortment of interchangable backstraps (2 different sizes), hard case, paperwork, lock, et al for $539 from Bass Pro Shop; I have @ 500 rounds thru mine and it runs like a champ...

I had stainless slide FNP-9 I bought in 2006 & ran nearly 900 rounds thru it without a hiccup; in my normal mode back then I traded it or sold it; guess what...there's a blackened slide FNP-9 sitting on the desk next to me now...what does that tell ya?
