I am having issue with the latest FDE. Below is the setup OS = Windows 7 Enterprise x64 FDE version = R73 No of disk = 1 No of volume = 3 (C:, D: and hidden 100MB drive created by Windows 7 setup) Encryption for all 3 volume had been completed and the option to "Allow Hibernation and Crash Dumps" also had been set to YES. Does anyone have a system with the 256GB SSD with FDE? Hence the reason I'm unloading them myself. I'm going a different route. Only thing I want that's FDE is my CTR, so I can durakote it a multi-cam. MBUS will be flat black metal Troy, so they can be cerakoted

I have received a 256GB Toshiba SSD with FDE as a loaner from Lenovo and it works great. We were seeing quite a performance drop on other stock Lenovo SSD drives (Toshiba and Samsung) after installing Utimaco SafeGuard Easy FDE. How does this work ? Is there a hdd specific password that's typed in at boot time (didn't that exist already even without encrypted hdds) ? Does it protect against someone who has physical access to the machine being able to access the data (with a non-encrypted hdd I could just insert a bootable CD into the machine and mount the hdd, right ?).
