I've decided to go with some handlebar risers on my 2007 F650gs. Of course, it is an ABS model..and I'm getting some conflicting information from vendors on how high I can go without a new, extended brake line. I'd like to go as high as possible without changing brake lines, so...what do ya' think? 20mm, 25mm or 30mm? Also, for my fellow trouble shooters, my ABS switch doesn't seem to be ...

2006 BMW F650GS Full BMW system hard cases (expandable) and top box. ABS, heated grips, center stand, BMW hand guards. 15,5XX Miles used as a freeway commuter for two years. Always maintained at proper intervals, just replaced sprocket, chain and front brakes. New pirelli anakee tires front and rear (~200 miles). Never been dropped or abused etc etc. Reg'd until Oct 2010....

"Siridalot".... this topic is NOT (or WAS not) a issue of "country" at all! I think?? Showa is still recognized as a superb fork manufacturer..?? My guess is BMW ordered a front fork for the GS bikes...AND was a bit too specific. (as all vehicle manufacturers do...detail specifications to keep costs down (and profit up...) Showa delivered what was asked.... BMW sell the bike as a "on road- off ...
Καλησπέρα Γραφουν ΕΧΡ επάνω κανονικά τώρα οι διαστάσεις 100-90-19 και 130-80-17. Αν είναι οι ίδιες με το μοντέλο σου είσαι κομπλέ.. Οτι και να αποφασίσεις μόλις τα αλλάξεις θα έχεις άλλο μηχανάκι φίλε, εγώ έπαθα πλάκα. Κοντά 30000 χλμ με βγάλανε τα "απλά" αλλά νομίζω οτι θα ήταν καλύτερα να είχα αλλάξει λίγο νωρίτερα. Πιθανόν να γλίτωνα κάτι χαζές γλύστρες..

I was wondering what everyone thought about the feasibility of doing this trip on a mostly stock 2006 F650GS?? I have a ton of off road experience - used to race enduros semi-professionally. Still have my '98 YZ400F. However, once I joined the ranks of the married with children, I don't have the luxury of spending lots of $$ on extras.
