This may sound dumb but I am not near my jet skis to look....I have the 2009 rxp and rxt...do these have built in fire extinguisher compartments? I dont just want to put it in the dry storage box and have it jump around...What fire extinguisher did you get and were from? Is there a compartment made by the manufacturer under the dry storage bin?

What fire extinguisher do you use and where did you mount it? To the "use the search" blasters: If you have nothing to add to this thread please kindly move on.

I just installed a fire extinguisher in my Jeep, can it freeze and explode all over the place, and if not, is there certain temperatures that can ruin it? I'm to lazy to read the literature it came with.

Here's a bottle that must have left the original purchaser still thirsty. It's about 6-1/2 inches long and thick as heck. Unmarked it kind of reminds me of a fire extinguisher ball I once saw, but about 1/4 the size. Attachment (1)

I was moving my '67 Duetto today and all of a sudden it dies; bang, dead. Then the acrid odor of something electrical burning starts with white smoke coming from under the hood. I pop the hood release, grab the fire extinguisher from behind the seats and s..l..o..w..l..y open the hood. No flames, so I open it all the way. I notice the misrouted-and-on-my-list-to-fix hot battery cable ...

Quote: 9mmMike previously said: Plus....you can mount a real extinguisher there and not one of those 2.5 lb POS's. If you have ever needed an extinguisher (and I pray you never do) you will likely find those tiny "show extinguishers" to be pretty much useless. Of course I could be wrong. Oh I dunno, my little...

I've put a car fire out with an ABC dry chemical and at work we do yearly fire extinguisher training. I'll also admit that when I was a kid we had a fire extinguisher fight in my friends house. The stuff gets everywhere and is almost impossible to clean up. It's also bad to inhale and from what I understand can be corrosive (some of the ABC ones) to electrical components. How to Clean up ...
