I'm going to return my old PS3(got a warranty)and get all my money back(about $587)so i can get a slim among other things(since they're only $299 now)But first i need your help people. 1)when you back up data from the PS3 does it back up things from all profiles? 2)Does it back up the profiles themselves? 3) does it save Game Data Utility?(updates/installs) Thanks in advance

I'm trying to connect my Sea Gate external HDD with some music on it to my PS3, but it doesn't show a USB device under Music. I tried my jump drive and it shows it with no problem. I can connect the HDD to my laptop and it connects. Where am I going wrong? Need some help here.

External HDD question... My Lacie 2b External HDD manual says I should only ever dsconnect the drive by Safely Removing Hardware in Windows. That's fine it makes sense. But is it OK to turn it off using the ON/OFF switch once the computer has shut down, and then disconnect it? Because that's how I've been doing it up until now. I have attempted to open it with every program I can think of, but no joy. The folder is 29G, so size may be a factor. It could be a copy of an old computer's HDD, but I'm not sure. My OS is Vista. Well, my parents bought for me as an early Christmas present, but it was an unbelievable deal since they're normally around $200. Now I'll be set for a long time. Be able to store anime, manga, music, etc. in it. So awesome. Anyone else have a TB harddrive, or perhaps more? I saw an 8TB one for $1000 and it weighed like 26lbs, haha.
