So is this even happening?? I've heard little to no talk about "The big run" and usually this is stickied months in advance. I'd hate to see the run that started it all fade off into the sunset Hopefully we can muster up the regs and even more importantly some newbies out for this annual tradition

Are there players or recordings that stand as the tone standard you seek to achieve with your playing? For me, it's Ed Gerhard (Sunnyland) and Bill Mize (Tender Explorations) for fingerstyle and Tony Rice and David Grier for flatpicking. Anyone else?

Pete is stuck at a truck stop 100 miles north of Des Moines IA . He is literally in Boondock. No Internet in Boondock Iowa I guess, but he is safe last I heard. He said the wind was so fierce there was no visibility at all.
