I'm trying to figure out exactly what my expense ratio for FSIVX is. Some sites report 0.17%. Some sites report 0.07%. It used to be 0.07%, but during the recent crisis it was increased to 0.17%. Then I heard it was reduced again to 0.07%. If you look at Fidelity's site, you can also get two answers: Expense Ratio: as of 04/29/2009 0.17% Expense Ratio after Reductions: as of 08/...

Good afternoon. I am new to the forum and I am hoping for a little help. - I currently receive a company matched 401k up to 3%. - After 3% it is .5% for every 1%. - I am currently contributing 6% and having the company contribute 4%. The company has set up the 401k with a broker that only allows us to use American Funds. I am concerned about the Expense Ratios. Please take a ...

I have a question on how to calculate what affect the expense ratio has on returns. Is it better to have a fund with higher returns and a higher expense ratio, or a fund that has lower returns and a lower expense ratio. Is there a formula to calculate this? Fund example: Fund A Fund B 1 Yr 28.83 25.41 3 YR -6.18 -5.84 5 YR ...

It's not keeping me ...

Is 2.3 Gross, 1.3 Net a good expense ratio? it says the 1.3 may change: The Fund's net expense ratio reflects fee waivers and expense reimbursements by the investment Adviser. This waiver and the reimbursement arrangements, if not extended, will end on March 31, 2010. Anyone have an idea if it will be extended? Thx

If you purchase the C Shares of IVA Worldwide, how much more is the expenxe ratio compared to the I Shares after deducting the 1% first year charge? Does it make sense to purchase the C shares when you are not able to purchase the I shares? All my accounts are at SCHWAB. If I were to purhcase it I would buy it direct from IVA.

Good morning! I hope all of you are enjoying this beautiful autumn day. I have a few questions that I ask for your advice, and to start off, my goal is to find ways to reduce expense ratio costs any way I can. I currently divide my TIAA 403b contributions to the TIAA Traditional and CREF Inflation-Linked Bond (ILB) accounts. While the Traditional account has no expense ratio (and ...

zotty wrote: Default User BR wrote: http://www.irs.gov/retirement/....20,00.html Thanks Brian. That explains everything. In my case, it's still optimal to max out the 401K. 1.2% is better than 28%. Not necessarily. The 1.2% will be paid every year for as long as you stay with the employer. If you expect to stay with ...

Excellent question. FFRHX, Fidelity's floating rate high income bond fund has a higher rate after reduction than before, makes no sense to me. http://personal.fidelity.com/p....?315916783 Click on the Fees and Expenses tab. The ER is .73% before reductions and .76% after. This is not the only Fidelity fund with this aberration.
