In the article you linked it says 'On the U3S6 card, bottlenecks are alleviated by running the card in a x4 PCI-E mode." This is very true. The person must have gotten bit and bytes confused. PCI-E x4 is well above the maximum throughput of USB 3.0.

Hi, I have a Studio XPS 1640 and put a expansion slot SSD in the expansion/express port (the part that holdes the remotes and such). The problem is that I cannot remove the drive, the drive does not seem to spring out like in all the other computers I have used it in. Does anybody know of a expansion slot fan controller that can handle at least 1.74 amps? I have a fan that pulls 1.74 amps but it's too loud to run at 100% all the time.

Hi all, I have installed two NVidea GeForce 7300GT gfx cards in my Mac Pro. The main one in Slot 1 and the second in Slot 2.
