I'm looking for a split exhaust manifold for my 235 stovebolt. It's for King Of Trucks, my '55 2nd series. I think I might prefer a factory manifold that's been split if it's nicely done. Anyone know where or if I can get copper exhaust manifold gaskets for my 95 4.0? The manifolds are slightly pitted and leaking. I'm thinking it'd be a cheaper fix replacing with copper gaskets than replacing the manifolds. I'm not sure if the "deadsoft" aluminum ones would seal any better of if they're even available either. Thanks... Mark

I'm currently taking on the intake manifold gasket replacement nightmare. I'm one bolt and this one pipe from having the intake manifold free of the engine. Can someone tell me how to remove this metal pipe? It's attached just below the EGR and runs down and around to the exhaust manifold. If I can get this thing off I will have this job almost done. I have to actually get under the car to see exactly whats going on here, But a friends 2004 has a drivers side exhaust leak. He's been quoted $1200 for a new head and one new manifold... I think that stinks. What are the visible signs of a cracked head ? If I want to drill,tap and rebolt his manifold what should I know about this before doing it ?
