Executing will: executor or hire a company? A family friend asked me to post this. I'm wondering if he should get an Executor to carry out a will or if he should hire a private company? The company would charge approx 3.5% of the first 1 million and then 2.75% of the next 1 million according to him, not to say he'll reach 1 ...

Just a quick question. If you dies and had unpaid debts that the creditor could no longer use the courts to obtain repayment, would the Executor of your estate have to repay them from your estate or can they also rely on the 6 year rule.

Morning My mum has just recently passed away and I(along with two other family memebers) am an executor for her estate. She has several fixed rate savings accounts that were due to mature over the next three years. I'd like to know what happens in fixed rate accounts upon death. Do they run to maturity and are paid out then, or are they closed upon death and monies due paid out? Is the ...

I have a deceased uncle in California whose estate has taken almost 3 years to become final because the executor has basically been dragging his feet. We have finally received approval from the court to pay the heirs and close probate. My question is how long does the executor have to disperse the funds to the heirs? He has not even told us of the court approval, we had to find that out after ...

QUESTION: Fil passed and on viewing his will, of which I expected myself and my child, along various cousins, to be beneficiaries, I found the will was a pour over and no persons are named. I asked executor/trustee (bil) what might be expected and he did not reply, no love lost there due to me not being a proper doormat. It was bil who previously told me I was "in" but I have found that he ...

Apparently there's going to be another Family Guy Star Wars spoof. Check out the trailer, and pause at 00:17. StarWars.com | Video Now, I'm not a suspicious sort of guy by nature, but what are the odds the turret layout of their Executor mesh matches my Executor mesh?

One of the beneficiaries has been very troublesome from the get go, objecting basically to everything I do. I have put the dwelling house on the market only to have this beneficiary contact the Estate Agent a number of times telling him ...
