I also own an accounting firm so I see alot of small business owners and personal clients get behind when they do not have the cash flow to pay taxes and insurance, an escrow account in servicing is a great tool especially in Florida where property taxes are so high, also allows you to not have to come up with 2K in taxes and 17-1800 for insurance at one time during the year. Since you are in ...

I've agreed to trade one domain for another, but the other guy (not a member here) wants me to push first, and I want him to push first. Is there a reliable escrow service that can handle this type of non-money deal? Thanks.

Background: I am about to go into escrow on a flip purchase representing myself with the l.a. (representing both me (buyer and the seller who's a realtor they do a lot of work with). Â Question; the realtor is asking me to make a EM check out to the realtors name and send it to the escrow company. I've only done this once before, but I am pretty sure I made to escrow check out to the...

A client of ours, A Title Co., is telling us there is a regulation that does not allow banks to assess any charges/fees to their escrow accounts. Is that true? If so, can you give me more information on the reg? Thank you.

Has anyone come across a list of states which have escrow requirements that trump/enhance the Federal requirements? I've also heard the rumor that state-law may go by the wayside after 4/1/2010 so that everything will be consistent?? If not, I might suggest that we use this community to share our information... that when making HPML's on property located in our specific state, there will/won't ...

So, here's the deal...buying a home using a VA loan. VA requires a home to have flooring in it prior to close of escrow in order to meet standards and pass approval. The bank has already conceded to so much that we agreed to take on the flooring. That is, we agreed to put in the flooring prior to close of escrow. So, what I want to know is, how big of a risk are we taking? ...

I'm considering making an all-cash offer on a house I would rent to friends. I've only purchased with lenders for homes I planned to live in in the past. So, I'm wondering what costs, beyond the sale price, I should anticipate having to pay to close my purchase?  I plan to pay for an inspection (but no appraisal) and realize that insurance costs are higher for rentals than owner...
