Dear All, I am moving to Muscat soon and would like to trade in the UK and international equities. I am a British national, but no registered address in the UK. Anyone using a brokerage firm in UK who allows non resident british to trade in the UK and international markets? I currently use Halifax and they do not provide service to non residents. Thanks for you help. Rgds.

Hello Terry, Thanks for coming back on this. This situation is a first for me, and doubtless for many posters here too. I like your reasoning and assessment of the matter. I intend to continue holding on to my LLOY shares held in my ISA & SIPP, and my RBS shares held in my SIPP also. "My plan is to wait until I can see the whites of their eyes" I couldn't have put it better. :-)...

I agree with all the above posts.  As long as you don't have high interest credit card or auto debt, have an emergency fund, and are saving 15% for retirement, then absolutely extra dollars should be sent to the mortgage.  many people suggest to never ever send extra to your mortgage, even if maxing out your 401(K) and Roth IRA
