I've been working with Epilog Tech support to try to resolve this issue and [I] have since been unsuccessful at finding the the problem. I have not been able to get the drive wheels on the rotary attachment to function and have since found out that the motor is not getting any power. I have replaced the female 8 pin molex connector thinking there could be a short since the pins were extremely ...

We have a 36EXT at work, I am wondering how often other Epilog owner's find they have to align the optics. It seems like we are having to do this more and more. If you are familiar with 1,2,3,4 on the table location, we are spot on the crosshair on 1,2, and 3, but the number 4 location is off slightly. Not sure if I want to start using some loctite that can still be broken free to try and ...

Which Epilog laser will engrave at least .010 deep in steel? It's going to be used on other materials as well, but that's the toughest application it will see.... Their web site was of little use other than showing the intricate work they're capable of. Thanks! Sincerely, Ken Bolin BPI

The air assist tube on my Epilog 45 watt Helix machine seems to becoming loose; it pivots some but does not seem to be bent. Anyone know how to tighten this back up? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello all! First things first, been here lurking and learning for a while now, you people amaze us with your sharing, knowledge, and talent! We have learned so much from all of you, thank you so much. We have an epilog radius 30w machine, bought it used several months ago, gorgeous machine, in great shape, and the price was so right. We just installed new optics and that made a...

Just got an email alert that Epilog has released a new 64bit driver - version 8.06. Yes!!!! I'll be downloading it tonight. They claim 32bit .dat files are usable without converting. Sounds good!

Weve been using the engraver for the past hour and all of a sudden the buttons on the display (control panel?) wont work. Some of them do (power, focus, speed, up) but the others dont do anything (go, stop, set home, xy off, pointer, etc). We tried restarting the machine with both the switch and unplugging it. Any other ideas until we can reach Epilog directly? The machine is only a year ...

I'd check the cables first (from where they exit the control panel and where they plug into the logic board). If not a cable, sounds like it could be the logic board. (I had to replace mine - and they are spendy.)

It's the 36EXT. If it was a broken wire from the control module to the molex connector, we would be able to read the ~24V necessary to turn the motor, right? With a voltmeter, we are getting less than 1V. The initial issue that prompted this was the inconsistency while using the rotary attachment. In retrospect, I can see that the motor was not getting the correct power because the image/...

Patience is a virtue, but its not one of my virtues. I like lasering, its a thousand times faster than using an X-acto knife. Layout is all done in Adobe Illustrator, no CAD no 3D, all 2D using my head and a calculator to factor for material thickness, kerf, geometry etc. I'm probably well behind the curve there, but I'm too busy using what I've got to learn anything new. On making ...
