Some coworkers and I were talking at work about engine sizes that were available in different cars. What I was wondering, if an engine in bored .030 over in a rebuild how much will that increase the cubic inches overall? My '67 Cougar 6.5 is .030 over, so is it still a 6.5 390? Just curious. Thanks, Steven

Remove all Advertisements I am new to dirt bikes and pit bikes and I am currently looking for a used bike. If I go check out someone's bike I'd like to make sure the engine is what the seller says it is. How do you tell what the engine size is just by looking at it? for example; 50cc vs 125cc vs 150cc etc... I am going to check out a pit bike ...

Hello can anyone tell what size engine I have in our 1303. Engine number is AR 128916. Would it also be possible to fit the larger 1600 barrell and pistons to this block and can I get away with the carb I have? The engine at the moment after some playing with is a little sick not surprising after 10 years in a garage off the road. Is it worth fitting the larger barrells (...

I have a pair of heads that flow 230 cfm intake and 190cfm exhaust. Lets assume I can optimize the cam/compression/intake/exhaust. On a pushrod flat tappet V-8 my options are 240, 255, 270, 290, 310 or 330 inches. What size would produce the best hp/cu in?

Bit of a longshot, but is there a way of knowing the difference between the 2 motors Fraud fitted to the XF ute range.I know they had 3.3 and 4.1 litre, but there is not book, paperwork with this particular ute, and i've googled for a few mins and gave up... but wondered if anyone on here could tell me what sized engine it is, or where and how to find out.
