My approval letter came from my insurance company for my out of network consult at the Cleveland Clinic Bariatric Unit. The letter states it is approval for an Upper GI Series, an Endoscope and the intial consult. Hummm ... I'm wondering ...has anyone on here walked this walk before? Is it possible to do all that in one visit and get results the same day? Comments are appreciated. Thanks... ...

Calvin If your doctor (is this a HNS(ent?) thinks it is a leak he/she may go ahead and test a sample for beta 2 transferrin. If it is positive they may order a MRI or CT(with fine cuts) to see if the problem spot can be found. Many cranial leaks can be fixed with a endoscope. It is not as invasive.
