Hmm, I do think this should have included an "I'm not a fan" option, as Emmerich has developed and stuck to a rather fixed style, which divides opinion. I didn't vote, partly because I can't really say I'm much of a fan of those I've seen, although I don't strongly dislike some (and 2012 was in its way a bit better than I expected) and partly because I shamefully haven't yet seen probably ...

I found this address on fanmail: Roland Emmerich Creative Artists Agency 2000 Avenue of the Stars Los Angeles, CA 90067 USA But is it still up-to-date? He produced the famous movies '2012', 'The Day After Tomorrow', 'Godzilla' and more.

We used the latest scientific advances to discover the kind of films Roland Emmerich would make if he were making films in the 50's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24DjZ79FUH4

I was thinking about this. Roland Emmerich keeps making these movies where you see massive destruction. It seems each succeeding film is bigger than the previous. Here are his last few movies involving the destruction of cities: 2012 (2009/I) The Day After Tomorrow (2004) Godzilla (1998) Independence Day (1996) Now I would imagine when you do the special effects you build these fake ...

watch 'when worlds collide' after 2012 and tell me roland emmerich is not a george pal fan. the arks being constructed on a remote mountain range, the nasty russian businessman, the noble scientist, the love triangle, the rioters trying to get aboard the ship, the psuedo religious claptrap. it's pure pal ...

Now I say that in a good and bad way. Bad because some might not like his films and they're all relatively the same. Personally, I dig his films. Why? Their great popcorn movies that balance disaster and character. Independence Day remains my favorite Emmerich disaster movie and still one of my favorite movies today because it combines character with blowing *beep* up. "Today, we celebrate our...

Thirteen years before he helmed the disaster epic 2012 , Roland Emmerich directed the alien invasion mega-blockbuster Independence Day ... and now he wants to make more. Emmerich told MTV that he has plans to produce not one but two Independence Day sequels. "What we want to do in the next it's actually two movies we want to do a bigger arc," he explained. " ...

Video of a mysterious ring in the clouds over Moscow has bloggers abuzz about whether it's a UFO, a sign from the heavens or a scene from a crappy Roland Emmerich movie. None of those theories are right, says Moscow's weather service, which claims it's a rare but natural weather occurrence. Several fronts have been passing through Moscow recently," a spokesperson said. ...

Saw this on wikipedia Quote: Roland Emmerich, the director/producer of the apocalyptic film 2012 (opening Nov. 13), confirmed to EW exclusively that a small-screen version of the end-of-the-world movie is already in the works. Emmerich said there was plenty to do in a TV show and that 2012 executive producer Mark Gordon whos also an exec producer on TV shows like...

for those of you that don't know, Roland Emmerich's film 2012 has a spin-off television series titled 2013 that Emmerich is involved in. I didn't see the movie nor am I going to, but all this talk about 2012 (the film, not the possible end of the world) I thought I'd mention it.

..after the horrible "Day After Tomorrow" i wasn't planning on giving Emmerich anymore of my cash, but in an odd twist of fate my wife-who-normally-hates-crappy-films-like-this asked for "2012" to be her birthday movie.. Maybe it was the quality of the actors involved, but this was actually much more interesting then i was expecting it to be. Liked how Platt's character's arguments were all-...

Hey it's a fable! Emmerich is playing the role of story teller and as such, is free to improvise and play loose with the "facts." That's what made the movie so enjoyable. People who insist on precise conformity to historic and archeological convention are missing the point! I'll write more about this later.
