Windshield wiper fluid leak and emergency brake issues Hey guys, I remember that AMG4EVER had the same wiper fluid leak as I did and I figured that I would describe what the dealer told me. I'm still under my extended warranty, however it turns out this item isn't covered. Apparently the leak is from the hose going from the reservior and ...

To get my rail inspected and tagged, it has to have a "real" emergency brake. The old cables (drum brakes in the rear) had been cut off by a PO and there is no ratcheting handle or mount of any kind between where the seats are to be mounted. I have looked around the net but all I can find are the cables , new levers and lever repair kits etc. Does anyone sell the handle/mounts etc as a...

I had my brakes done recently. When I got home and parked on my driveway, which is quite steep, the car rolled backwards. I had the e brake adjusted and the car still won't stay put. I don't like using the tranny (P) to hold the G on the driveway. I'm thinking maybe the cable has been stretched to it's max and I'll need a new one. ****, I don't want to go to the stealership to have them do it....

My brake light is always on, will go off if I slightly lift the pedal (E brake) while driving, then return. Any ideas what to do? I never use it when parked.

I have a Beck emergency brake handle and center console for sale. I'd take $100 or best offer. It's in good/excellent condition. I also have a posting for a Beck shift kit that goes with this if you're interested. _________________

How hard is it to replace this? I backed the car out of the garage tonight and went to set my parking brake and it made a funny noise so I lowered it and raised it back up and POP the cable took a shit on me. It broke right near the wheel on the emergency brake handle.

I have a set of emergency brake cables made by Six States from Aircraft quality cable, they were almost $200 to have made, they went on a 84 D60, I have switched to rear disk and have no use for them, if you would like them $50. and they are yours, this is including shipping, I just want to get rid of them and hate to see all that money I spend and hardly even used go in the trash. ...

How can you tell if you have limited slip diff.? From what it sounds like, you limited slip guys have two parking brakes. One one each side of the rear axle. I know mine only has 1 and I know my diff. is a Dana 80.

The fact the OEM setup is prone to failure and tension is nothing new. I had to replace my rear cables myself. The drum setup is not any different then the disc with the exception of the cable ends. You can do this job for under $100 and be happy with your results. Sorry but I only have the rear disc part numbers. (I.E. TSB kit) For Ref - Both sides use the same cable...
