So I know there was a Christian electronica post already but I'm looking for a little bit different electronic music. I'm looking for stuff more along the lines of Prodigy (especially Fat of the Land), Fatboy Slim, Crystal Method (Especially Vegas) and the Sneaker Pimps (especially Becoming X). The Prodigy reference is the favorite. I enjoy some of the more guitar driven electronic stuff...

so it seems electronica is the new genre to be hybridized, with 3oh!3 playing electro-hop (brat-rap), and Lady Gaga doing her Electro-pop, and bands being so bold to even do Electro-Rock, it seems that there is a limitless combination of genres, especially since there is a noticeable difference between electronica and house, which leads me to my next point. House-hop or hip house, which sounds ...

For fans of Electronica. Hello my fellow UGers! I'm just gonna cut to the chase. For the past several months I've been making some electronic-esque songs. It's just me who does it, but sometimes I get some buddies help out with a track. I started out using a loop program like Garageband, but it was actually a game for Xbox. But for ...

Here's a little WIP I'm busy with, just over 3 minutes up to now... Not sure where I'm gonna take it really. It started out with a standard vocal but I ended up vocoding it and then mangling bits of it to make pads in Alchemy. So, it's more of an instrumental in its current form. I think though that it probably does need a vocal. Any thoughts on that? I'll proabably develop the ...

If you think it sounds electro + metal, just go for it! List any and all artist(s) and band(s) you can think of that play this stuff....

The station can be categorized as an "electronica freeform station" with over 80,000 total listening hours per year. Sixty percent of the listeners are from the U.S. while the balance of the hours are filled in with the rest of the globe. Although the majority of the playlist consists of electronic tracks, periodically I'll add tracks with live instrumentation. You can view playlist info here ...

On my way home I was listening to Bitstream (an IDM duo sounding a bit like a more melodic Autechre ) and heard some heavy hip-hop influence, which reminded me of Meat Beat Manifesto . Rap + industrial + electronic. 1988-9. This early MBM stuff is amazing on a good sound system. YouTube compression (and mp3 compression prior to that) kills the bass.
