My first post here, please help! I've got a small fan heater made by Glen Dimplex. I would post a picture but the forum doesn't allow me to. It has been working fine since I moved into my new flat a few months ago, but this weekend I cannot get it to work. When I plug it in and turn it on it runs for about 15 seconds and then there is a small spark at the right hand side of the vent (...

Hi guys. I just found a new electric fan (in the box) at a garage sale for $5. It is an Imperial by Hayden, model 226116, with 1400 CFM's. Size is 15 3/4 X 16 3/4 and pulls 16.5 amps. I was wondering if it was worth all of the $5 I spent or will it work on the 4.0 SE/CC that I have. I couldn't pass up the price and it works great after hooking it up to a battery. All of the ties are in the ...

Electric fan noise on cold start w/defroster on? I've got a noise coming from the engine that started up (or at least I only noticed it now) when I start the car on a cold morning and turn on the defroster for the windshield. I took a quick video to catch the sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66T90-fPsRs Could this ...

On my build it is not possible to use a factory oil cooler due to clearance issues. I have a large Setrab cooler, 10" electric fan, oil cooler bypass thermostat, and inline electric switch to control a relay to control the fan. This will all be plumbed in the full flow lines after the filter. I was thinking of mounting the inline switch between the Setrab outlet and the thermostat ...

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up buying the "monster fan" kit that you guys referred me to. We went wheeling this weekend and it worked AWESOME!! I believe someone said it was "worth every penny" and I must absolutely agree. Only once did it even come close to letting the temp get up around 225, but I'm convinced it was because I hadn't topped off my radiator and was at a very steep ...
