Hi guys I expect this is probably a common qu but couldn't see a recent one so here goes. OH is stingy when it comes to utilities but we are unsure about how to proceed. Our house is 1 year old and well insulated, we are link detached so our living room is attached to next doors garage. We live on the moor and so temps can get pretty cold up here! We put on our GCH for about an hour in ...

My husband is now a masters student and is home a lot during the day. Is it more expensive to turn all the radiators off except the one in his office room (and the bathroom as it has not got a temp valve on it) or run an electric heater like an oil filled radiator? Thank you in advance for any advice

I have a Trane Rooftop Heating and A/C unit. When I turn on my heater it starts blowing but it only blows cold air. I tried changing the thermostat but I get the same results. How can I test the control board to see if it is bad, or do you have a different suggestion. Model # WCH042B100CB installed in 2005. Answer Thank you for your request. QUESTION: We have a Leisure bay hot tub. For the 3rd time in about 9 months the heater has gone out. Before we replace the heater again, is there anything we can do to prevent the heater from going bad so quickly? ANSWER: Does it burn out or trip the GFCI. A GFCI problem is usually caused by bad water chemistry. Use a teflon coated or a titanium element not a stainless one and do some tests to...

I have a bit of a tricky situation, where I'm living in Company-provided rented accomodation, where I moved in 5months ago. The radiators in the flat are all electric, but the big one in the main living room doesn't work. I reported this fault to my Company Property Manager via email on 29/09/09, who referred it to the Letting Agents to look into. LA phoned me and said the landlord would ...

Since my issue with venting of my gas water heater does not seem to be able to be solved by plumbers who have looked at it I am thinking seriously of switching over from gas to electric. Other than the obvious rise in my electric bill, is there any drawbacks? Can I swap a 40 gallon gas with a 40 gallon electric? Does the water stay warmer in a gas WH? Anything you can think of??? Peace of ...

Randy, I use a Davies Craig EBP that is started via a microswitch on the "heat" slider control inside the car. It is plumbed across the supply and return lines to the radiator. Works well. Forgive the loose wiring on the stereo. It was being installed when this picture was taken! Dave

I am in Ohio, about 35 miles southwest of Cleveland, not they hottest part of the country. I have a 27 foot round pool, above ground, like 52-54 inches deep, all I use is a solar cover. We usually have the pool open from Memorial day until a couple weeks after labor day. I do like my water to be between 82 and 84 degrees though, maybe a little cooler than some. Multiple Sclerosis, if the ...

Product info will include power usage rates-----then you could compare with your current usage from your bills. Your utility may have some information also. Be sure and size your tankless heater adequately for your usage needs----a little bigger is better than a little too small
