My school offers Honors and even AP electives. If I were to take Honors electives (not for taking honors electives, but because they're more interesting than the non-honors ones my school offers), how would that factor into a college's decision when I send in my transcript? Thanks in advance.

I am in school pursuing a degree in elementary education and was wondering what you might suggest for electives. Right now I am finishing up American Sign Language and starting Spanish. Besides language courses, my basic courses and eductation required courses I can't figure out what would be the most beneficial for me. Thanks = )

Our members don't see this ad. I mean core & electives? Say, if you went all 3rd & 4th year to NY state rotations (both core & electives) & applied for residency there, would this be realistic to do? I'm lost as to where you can do core, then do electives, & finally what states you could "showcase" at (in the USA) during rotations (that you may want to apply for...

Hello, I am seeking advice as I continue my education towards a bacholers degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am a returning student at the "old" age of 26 and since my studies before returning to school were in communications, mostly only electives, humanities, and a few core credits are going towards my ME degree. So I have about 3 1/2 to 4 years left ...

Most of the posts about Olive View seem to be older. What is the competitiveness of Olive View residents for residency matching into outside programs in SoCal? What's their realistic ability to do electives/research through UCLA? Their most recent match list looks pretty decent. Anybody have anymore info about this program? How difficult is it to match into this program?

Wondering if completing pre-requisites by taking online courses is frowned upon by schools? I know the University of Iowa has a policy that states "All required prerequisite coursework must be completed as traditional classroom-based courses. Online courses are permitted only for general education electives."
Yes both surgery and internal medicine is a pre-req for doing electives at RUMCSI. As far as I was told they only offer four week electives. You can do three week electives at Wyckoff and our school does not accept two week electives.

certain states like Pennsylvania and NJ and probably some others ONLY take US students to do 'away electives' meaning electives not affiliated with AUA. so, this might be one of the state laws in the state u are applying OR could just be a hospital rule. i know how u feel i tried to get an elective in NJ and it was a no go
