I have a gridview that is bound to a view that joins multiple tables. I would like to use the Edit (Update) button to update a separate datasource(s), which would be the individual table(s) that composed the view. I am not sure how to do this though... I tried to use the gridview.rowupdating event and set the update parameters for the other datasource(s) and then use the datasource....

I just updated to 2007 from 2003. In 2003, I could click "Edit" from the menu of an opened message, and add annotations. I can't seem to figure out how to do this in 2007 -- I don't see that as an option in the available menus when I have a message open, nor from the list of messages. ...

Hi It would appear that when the rights to a list have been set as "allow edits to own items only" that the out of box items details page has the edit link active for all users - not just the creator of the item. I have a sharepoint list where I backed up and customized the NewItem.Aspx file. When I view with the summary toolbar, its pointed at the backed up list name. Hi All, How can i make all the fields Read-only on the EditForm.aspx Page when some one click on Edit Item in a Sharepoint List . Is it possible to create some feature which makes them read-only while activating it?. Currently I am doing this Via JavaScript function in the page, but i want it to be done via code .
