Just wondering if extractors that came off an L67 Super 6 will fit straight onto a standard ecotec. I'm 99% sure they will but just wanted to double check. Any ideas?

Has anyone out there tried any major modifications to the rarely owned ecotec 2.2? I'm all about the MPG so I chose the 4cyl I've had a small amount of gain by adding a CAI and full exhaust system and I had my friends at a local garage re-program the ecu... but has anyone attempted forced induction on these motors? Does anyone know what the internals can handle? I've done a lot of work on 2.2 ...

Hey, had a little dispute with a mate today, he has a vr and says that he can put a ecotec into it, because only engine modifications that require a mod plate cant be driven, then when i said that vr's never came out with the ecotec so it would need one, he said that late model vr's had ecotecs? I thought possible that a vr could have a ecotec put into it, and still be p-plate legal, because ...

Hi folks, this might be a long one....cos I'm not sure what you need to know to hopefully (please!) try to help. I bought wireless vaillant thermostat and installed it fine, everything was groovy for a few days, but then the hot water started getting cold after only 2 mins in the shower (not good when your hair is full of shampoo). I've now removed the thermostat and I'm getting ...

Hi all. My first post on the forum. It looks to be a very usefull resource. I've had my Vaillant for about a year now. I've been concerned about the central heating cycling. I've been observing it this evening, and whenever it comes out of S7 (heating pump overrun), with the radiator symbol flashing (anti cyling mode) while it's displaying S7 for me, it runs the CH pump for a few ...

Hi all, Complete plumbing novice here, so please be gentle. We have a sealed CH system, and recently had our boiler, hot water tank and pump replaced. Since then we've had the devil of a time getting air out of the system; it constantly finds its way to the boiler, which then races to boiling point, does a passable impression of a B-52 dropping cymbals on a tin roof, and switches...

Wow it's been a long time since I've posted on here. I’ve seen a lot of post lately about performance parts for the L-Series. So I’ve decided to start building a guide for performance parts that are available for L-Series Ecotec owners. A majority of the engine parts that fit on the ecotec cavaliers and cobalts will work on the ecotec. I will update this list as I come upon more items. and ...

Hello, I am a hopefully soon to be a new to me Saturn Vue owner. It's an 03 with only a few kms on the second rebuilt engine now. Odometer shows 135,000kms. 2.2L Ecotec with the 5Speed Manual. At 90k kms apparently Canadian Tire forgot to tighten an oil plug and ended up having to replace the engine. My buddy just bought if for his wife at 130,000kms who doesn't like it for several ...
