Christians believe that life is a gift from God and God does not send us any experience we cannot handle, the doctor wrote a prescription for paxil. This medication causes relaxation to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. New data has reported that two percent of depressed people who have received treatment for depression in an outpatient scenario might die by paxil, I suffer from insomnia...

... and vegetarians are "cranks" too, apparently. You can hear these remarks on the latest piece of audio on Simon Darby's blog. As a vegetarian, I don't appreciate being told - by a fat, unhealthy looking person who is probably in terrible physical condition - that I have an eating disorder! I happen to be in good physical health and fitness, and my choice of food doesn't dominate my life as...

Back story: I use to be extremely heavy, and I'm still over weight. I've finally gotten to a place where I am happen with who i am, and I eat healthy, and exercise. I have lost 40 pounds. a few weeks back my brother came home from college, which is an easy drive away. it was for the day, and he mentioned he had been doing an exercise routine where you do insane amounts of pushups every day. He ...

Hi, it great to find a forum on eating disorders, but as I've read through the postings people are talking about bulimia and anorexia . I don't see much about my disorder, which is neither of those. Instead I binge eat - I can't stop myself at times. (I have considered bulimia, but frankly I have a lousy gag reflex and the thought is gross, plus I know the physical dangers, too.) ...

My boyfriend who i love to bits, is really thin for his height. one day he might eat a huge meal for dinner, maybe an apple an a jaffa cake for the rest of the day, or another day he could go the whole day without eating, or just have a mere sandwich, for no reason at all.he doesnt understand what ...

I feel so messed up writing this . A few months ago I purchased an iphone, which is almost identical to an ipod touch, except it has a phone. The thing is I am obsessed with the applications you can download. All the ones I like are associated with calorie counting or there are even exercise applications which teach you new exercises etc and they have just fuelled some negative behaviours ...

When I get sad, I don't eat. Since I'm "clinically depressed", I'm almost always sad so, I can go days without eating and I won't even care. My guardian thinks I have an eating disorder, but I don't think I do. Who's right?

I hate to say it but unless you guys are extremely close it probably won't do much good. He has to be aware of the problem for him to realize that it is a problem. Then he also would have to want to take steps to fix it. You can tell him that you are concerned but don't expect much. Good luck.

As many as 1 in 30 Americans -- roughly 7.3 million adults -- are at the center of a psychiatric debate over whether and how to recognize binge eating as a mental disorder. A decision on the matter is expected early next year, as the American Psychiatric Assn. updates the diagnostic manual that guides the mental health profession. http://www.latimes.com/features/heal...,2869829.st ory

A "disorder" is literally something that is out of the normal order of things - a minority, and so technically Nick is right. A cavemen starving wouldn't have turned down a big chunk of mammoth tusk because he was "morally opposed" to it anyway. When things get tough and people no longer have the luxury to hold such luxurious beliefs the whole idea will vanish into the dust from whence it came...

Relapse is apart of recovery. It's inevitable, sometimes and apart of the process. The best thing that you can do is tell someone that you feel like you're on the verse of relapse - but honestly, you cannot make someone recover if they don't want to recover.

a friend had a positive experience with her sister who had a major drug problem (and has been clean for 4 years). She did an in-person intervention and had an intervention counselor guide her through it. You might want to look up a similar professional. I hope you can help him.

Depression and eating disorders go hand in hand. If your depressed its normal to not eat. however, that doesnt mean that its okay. You need to find ways to deal with your depression in a healthy way and realize that you do need to eat.

The nutritional databases were what I was referring to. I think it did help to fuel my ED because my phone is something I have with me all of the time. I found myself at times of boredom just reading and reading through these databases. I found the exercise apps triggering because there were some that showed you a multitude of exercises you could do in your own time, at home if you couldn't ...

Morning, I hope you don't mind me peeking in. I would like to join your group if that's okay??? I'm a food addict and have struggled with food addiction all my life. I know I need help and a new start. This morning I made 2 poached eggs with flax seed toast. Used margarine made with olive oil and omega 3. I'm finishing up a decaf with 2 % milk. Sorry, I'm posting my breakfast, because I want to ...

Hi and welcome, people often mistakenly believe that ED is a totally female problem but actually it does affect men, especially young men. I think your bf really needs to see his doctor as this is getting out of hand. Yes this can be related to depression, SAD, etc. but he really does need to see his GP. Until he accepts he needs help there is really not much that can be done.I am glad ...
