Just wondering if there are any issues with travelling to Punta Cana over Easter? I know I've read that they don't allow motor sports - which doesn't make a difference to me. Any other concerns that I should know as I'm wondering if I'd be better to book during another weekend? Thanks.

I will arrive in Paris the Saturday before Easter and am renting an apartment on the Rue Cler. Will I have any problem buying food to cook on that Sunday and Monday ? How late will the markets be open that Saturday ? Should I expect to pay in cash or are credit cards widley accepted? I expect that it will be very busy with people preparing for Easter dinner. I know a little of the ...

I was planning a trip to Cancun over the easter weekend. Was just wondering if everything is open on easter in Cancun. I know some countries are shut down over easter. I want to make sure we can still hit the clubs that weekend.

My fiancee and I will be getting married in Positano in April 2010. We are planning on going Easter weekend and getting married that Monday. I was looking at a calendar of Italian holidays and just found out that "Easter Monday" is a holiday. Does anyone know how it is celebrated in Positano? Will it affect our ceremony? (i.e. florists and restaurants closed) Also, will there be any ...

My friends and I am planning a trip to Europe in April 2010 during the Easter long weekend. We're currently thinking about joining a packaged tour (such as Trafalgar/Transat/Nolitours) to Greece for about 8-10 days. Hope someone here can help me with the following: 1) First of all is it a good time to go to Greece during Easter? Would everything be closed during the holidays? If Greece ...

Hi, My friend and I are planning a girls weekend on Easter Weekend in Chicago. I've already researched flights I can get on my frequent flyer miles and hotels that have decent rates and availability. I would have expected Easter Weekend to be busier, but I am guessing because it's a holiday weekend, it's probably less busy because of no business travelers? Or is it still ...

We are thinking about traveling with another family to the Riviera Maya over Easter. The kids will range in age from 10-16. What are some AI resorts you would recommend? Things we'd be looking for are: 1. Good, swimable beach and nice pool(s) 2. Spacious suites where 3 kids could fit with their parents in one room 3. If possible, enough beach chairs ...

Credit cards are widely but not universally accepted. Note that US magnetic strip credit cards without a "smart chip" will not work in machines such as the ticket machines at the Métro and train stations, nor on the Vélib bike rental system. As a matter of principle I try not to use credit cards at small shops and cafés for amounts less than about €20. Credit card fees are a major ...
