We are travelling to visit my father in law this weekend who informed us today that a Live band will be playing outside his house saturday night. The baby (8 weeks) and I will be inside of course but I'm still concerned about the noise level for his little ears. When my oldest DS had ear tubes we used a wax moldable plug to cover the ear canal (but not go in the ear canal) when bathing, etc. Do ...

Before I start, let me say this is my personal opinion and perception. As with anything on kiwibiker, take from it what you like and leave the rest. I am predominantly a road rider, and like to go to AMCC track days 3 to 6 times a year. A while ago I noticed some riders, which I respect a lot for their experience, using ear plugs. So I thought I would look into this further. ...

Help Advice Ear Plugs Tinnitus Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am a part time producer and help a friend put on nights in bristol. I developed tinnitus a few months ago (now it has settled to a tolerable level) and since have been afraid to expose my ears to any loud noise. My friends are always going out (every weekend) to club nights and it's kind of upsetting to miss out ...

I went to Bar 903 on sunday. The music was great but also pretty loud. Actually I didn't really care as I was pretty drunk. Maybe you notice sometimes some noises or buzzing in the ears right after coming from the club. But this time it didn't go away! And it was more intense than usual. I had a high pitched noise in my ears till today but, thank to god, it seems to become better now. ...

Is it set inside a hill is what I asked... In other words - when they built Auzten Stadium - did the cut down into a hill, hollow out the hill, and then build the stadium inside the hollowed out hill. TigerTowner I don't think so. Still, Oregon fans need help to create a noisy atmosphere. Â

For me, muffs get in way, foam does not stay in place. The plugs I like the best is the Combat Arms plug by E.A.R. which has 2 sides, one of which blocks out harmful sound waves while permitting me to have a conversation & speak at near normal levels. http://www.e-a-r.com/e-a-r.com/premold_ ... ily=Combat Arms&ind_prod_num=370-1000001

Good stuff, they do vary a lot in quality and ear holes vary in size shape and direction. It's worth experimenting till you get some your happy with and I would never ride without them, they make everything a bit more relaxed and comfortable. Having said all that, most people I ride with in NZ don't wear them. They can be a bit fiddly and are certainly lose-able but the only real down side ...

As someone who's been a semi-pro drummer for about 20 years, I'd never play a gig without at least wearing Quies. I'd never use in-ear monitors as they can be very hazardous to one's hearing. I contracted an inner-ear infection ten years ago that left me with permanent tinnitus in my left ear. I can mentally tune it out most days, on bad days it drives me almost to insanity. There's no ...

Edited on Fri Nov-06-09 10:23 AM by Gormy Cuss After a week or so she should figure out that her strategy isn't working anymore. Another strategy is to feed her lesser amounts in the mornings and more in the evenings until gradually the morning meal is more like a snack that you feed her when you wake up. She's conditioned to expect a bowl of food as soon as you get out of bed. What's ...
